UT 5021 PA Tochline

Universal hardness tester

Universal hardness tester UT 5021 PA is designed to measure the hardness of metals and alloys according to the methods of Rockwell, Brinell and Vickers.

The UT 5021 PA hardness tester is a stationary measuring instrument consisting of a load application system and a measuring unit.

The principle of operation of the hardness tester is based:
• for Vickers scales - on the static indentation of a diamond pyramidal tip with subsequent measurement of the lengths of the diagonals of the restored fingerprint;

• Rockwell scales - on the static indentation of diamond or ball tips with subsequent measurement of the penetration depth of the tip;

• for Brinell scales - on the static indentation of a carbide ball tip with subsequent measurement of the diameter of the circumference of the restored fingerprint.

The hardness tester has a digital indicator in the form of a liquid crystal display, contains a microprocessor.
When measured by the Rockwell method, the instrument load application system provides 588.4 load application; 980.7; 1471 N
Rockwell measurements take place automatically.
When measured according to the Vickers method, the device load application system provides 49.0 load application; 98.0; 196; 294; 392.3; 490; 588.4; 7845; 980; 1177 N
When measured by the Brinell method, the application system of the load of devices provides the application of loads of 49.0; 61.5; 98.0; 153.2; 196; 294; 306.5; 392; 613; 981; 1176; 1226; 1839 N.
The design of the hardness tester should be reliably protected from unauthorized access, adjustment of factory settings and software.
The UT 5021 PA hardness gage is equipped with a high-precision strain gauge sensor.

SOFTWARE

Special software for the built-in microprocessor hardness tester software is used to enter the initial parameters and start the load application cycle, record, store and statistically process the measurement results and display them on the digital liquid crystal display.

Features of the digital-to-digital unit:
• Interactive work;
• Hardness scale selection;
• Setting the exposure time under load;
• Recalculation of hardness values, taking into account amendments for convex spherical and cylindrical surfaces in accordance with GOST 9013-59;
• Display of loading process and holding time;
• Sorting into hardness groups LESS, NORMAL, MORE;
• Statistical processing of a series of measurements;
• Saving the results in the memory of CB;
• Auto-tuning (calibration) according to standard measures of hardness;
• Recalculation of hardness values in other scales and methods;
• Touch control;
• Multi-user interface;
• Saving results to a USB flash drive.
• Semi-automatic optical system for measuring print size according to the Brinell and Vickers methods with automatic data transfer and hardness display.
